About
Hi, I'm Jake.
I'm a digital nomad whom has worked for nearly 2 decades in the creative industry as a UI/UX designer and Software Engineer. I've designed and built online platforms, mobile apps, YouTube channels, marketing campaigns, eCommerce websites, and have even dabbled a bit in physical product design as well.
I created By Hoomans as a space in the ever changing world to discuss and share where humans still fit within the digital world in the growing AI race.
My goal is to create a community of talented humans who are in no way or form anti-ai, but are able to identify and feel confident about where the future is for their line of work. I'm an avid user of AI myself and I've seen the tremendous leaps and bounds that it has made in a short span of time. But I've also watched the lens the market and the commercial world has on it; seeing headline after headline about job loss to AI. Seeing online commentary about "AI will replace XYZ".
I think we're in a very unique space in time, and have an opportunity to discover more products and services that aren't about bulk-creation or sprey & pray, but rather are about quality, taste, and human-made talent. Whatever that might looklike. And also about finding a way to truly identify that as well, highlighting the difference between AI generated and human made.
Come join the community, come share your thoughts, your challenges, your ideas, your perspectives.
Come be a Hooman.
