It was created by me, Jake; a digital nomad who has watched the internet, digital work and creative industries shift rapidly as generative AI has evolved.

By Hoomans is not anti-AI. It's about asking a more useful question: as AI becomes capable of doing more of the work we once relied on humans for, where do humans still matter most?

The goal is to explore the parts of business, technology and digital work that AI can replace, the parts it probably shouldn’t, and the new opportunities that are emerging as the balance shifts.

Through articles, discussions and contributions from real people, By Hoomans looks at how AI is changing jobs, services, products and industries, with a particular focus on where human judgement, creativity, trust, experience and connection continue to hold value.

By Hoomans is interested in what happens on the other side of that equation.
